Connected to Data

Remote Connectivity

With even more devices being added to the "Internet of Things" family, the requirement for reliable connected networks is essential.
While our conuntry landscape is beautiful and sparse, it is not afforded the network coverage that Telcos promise.
The connectivity on a rural property can be supplemented with a network of mesh nodes (repeaters) in key positions to connect those devices.

Technologies like LoRa (Long Range radio) allow for remote connection of sensors without the ongoing expense of Telco data plans. This data can be brought back to a central location on the property for either upload to cloud systems, or for processing on site.

Intelligence Dashboards

Having all the data at your fingertips is powerful but not beneficial without any means to interpret and analyse the data.
Intelligence Dashboards can provide a visual landscape for the daily operations, and historical and predictive data for future decision making such as:

  • When is the best time to weed spray, cultivate or plant crops.
  • See if soil is retaining moisture in one field compared to another.
  • Are the livestock meeting weight targets for the amount of feed and water they are consuming.
  • Use alerts field sensors to understand if a pump has failed or has been running for 3 days.

Connected Sensors

With a LoRa mesh network in place, data from sensors in the field can be connected back to the intelligence platforms for processing.

Sensors can measure and capture data for:

  • Soil - moisture, and temperature
  • Environmental - Smoke, Dust, Noise, Humidity, Temperature
  • Livestock weights, gps tracking, electronic herding
  • Gate openings and Electric Fence failures
  • Tank levels and pump operations
  • Storage - Open doors, Cool room temperatures
