Samsung's SmartThings platform is ever expanding in the amount of external product integrations that are becoming compatible with the system.
And being able to also integrate with the common Eco Systems such as Amazon's Alexa, Apple's Siri/Homekit, and Google's Home/Nest makes it one to consider as the future household system controller.
Using the Television as the potential future "Hub" for all things automated in the home, it is clear that Samsung has positioned itself to be that provider.
During the Consumer Electronics Show in 2024, SmartThings showcased new innovative features to make the TV experience more immersive to keep consumers connected without interruption.
With families using the living room as the common place to come together, it makes sense to innovate in this space and create the technology to effortlessly monitor and control all of the household smart devices from one convienient location - the Television.

With the Television being the functional Hub for SmartThings in your house, it allows it to become the control center for all your connected devices. Detection of your smartphone can enable it to become an instant remote control to eliminate the need for multiple controllers.
Embracing this thinking, Samsung has designed the SmartThings TV Quick Panel to be a non-intrusive interface for quick access to core functions via a simple remote control. This allows it to bridge the gap between Samsung TV features and comprehensive connectivity without compromising content viewing. From this panel, users can manage devices, view cameras, and even ring their phones to locate it within their home.

This is designed to keep users engaged with the Television as they have oversight of their entire smart home right on their screen.
A feature is built in to automatically turn the Television on as you approach it, so it can display vitial information as seen above.
See your front door camera feed, the current temperature and humidity, the remaining time on the washing machine, or how much energy you are using.
This new generation of displays equipped with this software are becoming more powerful to even handle the switching of music sources from ear buds to the TV speaker or Sound Bar.
Couple this with the ever expanding SmartThings Eco System and it makes sense that pretty soon all your eggs will be in one basket, and Samsung wants to be that basket.
